Ahly have produced their finest display in years when they thrashed Talae El-Gaish 3-0 on Thursday in the 12thmatchday of the Egyptian Premier League.
Right-back Ahmed Fathy needed 10 minutes to put Ahly ahead before Mohamed Nagy “Gedo” doubled the lead seven minutes later for his second goal of the season.
Veteran playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika converted a penalty eight minutes after the restart to wrap up the win as the Red Devils made their complete domination of possession count after producing the kind of free-flowing football which they long missed.
