Al Ahly coasted to a thumping 7-0 victory over Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor in their first pre-season game on Wednesday.
Playmaker Walid Soliman scored twice as Mohamed Barakat, Abdullah Al-Saied and Emad Meteb gave the Reds a first-half lead.
After the break, unsettled duo Fabio Junior and Al-Sayed Hamdi came off the bench to complete the rout.
It is the first game for returning manager Hossam Al-Badri, who prepares his team for next month’s CAF Champions League group stage.
Al Ahly will play two more games at their Antalya camp, including a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Wehda.
