The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has announced that the Egyptian Premier League’s mini-league will kick-off on 27 June.
The final match will be held on 6 July while the next season is due to start on 16 August with no details of its regulations revealed as yet.

Four teams from the Egyptian Premier League’s two groups will qualify for a mini-league phase with only home fixtures to determine the winner.
Ahly are competing for a post in the mini-league as they are leading the Group A teams’ table with 34 points, sharing the same points with second place Smouha.
Zamalek are also searching for a place in the final phase of the Egyptian Premier League as they are third in the Group B teams’ table with 32 points, three behind leaders Ittihad El-Shorta.
