Ahmed Fathi has become the latest Ahly player to be struck by injury ahead of Thursday’s Egyptian Premier League opener against Military Production.
“Fathi is suffering from pelvis pains that kept him out of Wednesday’s training session. He will not be available for Military Production match,” Ahly said in a statement on their website.
The Red Devils have already lost five key players to injury – Rami Rabiea, Hossam Ashour, Sayed Moawad, Sherif Abdel-Fadil and Walid Soliman.
