Security concerns for Zamalek’s camp

Zamalek has canceled their preparation camp in Hurgada, Egypt due to security concerns.

Hamada Anwer the team director told Egyptian TV that the players asked the technical staff to cancel the camp so they could stay in Cairo with their families.

“Cairo is now sadly not completely safe after the end of Egyptian Presidential elections and the players want to stay with their loved ones ” Hamada said.
“So we will holld our camp in Cairo and play all our friendly matches there as well ” he added.

Zamalek was supposed to hold their camp in Hurgada this week and prepare for the African Champions League next month.

The Egyptian giant will play their first clash against Chelsea of Ghana on the 8th of July.
New goalie Ahmed AL Shenawy will join the club training after the Egypt clash against Central Africa on the 30th of June.
