The Confederation of the African Football (CAF) on Tuesday announced the dates of Al Ahly’s encounters against Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.
CAF said that the first leg would be in Cairo, Egypt on Saturday, February 29 at 18:0 CLT, while the second leg is set to be held in South African on Saturday, March 7.
Ahly coach Rene Weiler denied that his team will play a friendly in South Africa ahead of the Mamelodi Sundowns game.

With Monday’s victory, Ahly reached 42 points on the table to increase the gap between the second-placed Arab Contractors to 10 points.
“The 10-point difference with Arab Contractors doesn’t concern me, we play each game with full power and with the best formation to achieve victories only,” the former Anderlecht coach said.
The Red Devils qualified for the knock-out stage as Group B runner-up, while the South African club reached the quarter-final after topping their group.
