Egypt new coach Hector Cuper signs contract

Egypt new coach Hector Cuper has officially signed his contract the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) on Tuesday.
The Argentine boss, who arrived in Cairo late on Monday, was announced as Egypt’s new coach last week, but the deal was finalised a few days later.

“Cuper has arrived in Cairo few hours ago. He will be officially introduced in a press conference on Tuesday where all details will be announced,” EFA spokesman Azmy Megahed was quoted as saying by the association’s official website.

The 59-year-old manager is also believed to have agreed to a salary of $65,000 per month.

The former Valencia boss would assume the role of leading seven-time-African champions Egypt to the 2017 Cup of Nations finals, a qualification that has eluded the Pharaohs’ since 2010.
