Al Ahly have signing of Ismaily’s play maker Abdullah El-Saied a few hours before the transfer window closed on Thursday.
El-Saeid signed a three-year contract with Ahly for LE6.750 million and Al Ahly agreed to loan Algerian striker Amir Sayoud for one year.
“El-Saied gave up his benefits at Ismaily worth 900 thousand pounds,” the player’s agent Mohamed Sheha told Al Ahram newspaper.
Cairo Giants El Zamalek showed interest in signing the player but he preferred Al Ahly.
El-Saied, 26, started his career with Ismaily and played for Egypt in the 2005 World Youth Championship. He joined the Pharaohs squad when they were coached by current Zamalek manager Hassan Shehata.
The talented midfielder is the sixth new signing for Ahly this season, after striker El-Sayed Hamdy, Brazilian Fabio Junior, defender Mohamed Naguib, Walid Soliman and Ahmed Shedid Qinawi.
