A stuttering Ahly side came from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw at Nigeria’s Heartland in the CAF Champions League group stage on Sunday.
Bello-Kofar Mata netted the opener for the hosts four minutes after the interval but Mohamed Abou-Treika brought the score level 16 minutes from time.
Egyptian champions Ahly clearly lacked the necessary firepower, with Sherif Abdul-Fadil playing as a lone striker throughout the 90 minutes.
