Mido will face his first genuine test as Zamalek’s coach when his side host Petrojet in Sunday’s Egyptian Premier League match.
The rookie coach’s debut saw Zamalek defeat lowly Minya 1-0 after laying siege to their opponent’s area for most of the match, initiating some slick moves which apparently bore the hallmarks of the former Tottenham, Roma and Marseille striker.
