Mourning Cairo-based football team, Ahly, are now to play El-Shabab, instead of Kuwait and Dubai, instead of Ahly Dubai,in their UAE training camp; friendlies with Algerian and Spanish clubs also on the table.
Egyptian football champions Ahly have approved the changes, made by the sponsors, of their training camp in the Emirates.
The Red Castle will play Kuwaiti outfit El-Shabab, instead of Kuwait team, on 2 March, three days before they face UAE’s Dubai, instead of Ahly Dubai. They will end the camp by playing UAE’s Emirates.
“We accepted the apology of the clubs who faced arrival difficulties,” Ahly’s football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz said.
Abdel-Hafiz also revealed an offer from Algerian side, Mouloudia Alger, to play another friendly on 18 or 19 March but added that Ahly technical staff, under the leadership of their Portuguese manager Manuel Jose, haven’t made the final decision yet.
