Omotoyossi Returns to Zamalek

Razak Omotoyossi’s dispute with Zamalek is nearing an end as the Benin striker joined the team’s pre-season camp in Kuwait.

Omotoyossi, who was unhappy for not being paid for months, has not been training with the club recently, forcing manager Jorvan Vieira to label him as ‘needless’.

However, Zamalek said that the 26-year-old is included in the team’s 24-man squad for the Kuwait trip, which comes ahead of the league kickoff this month.

Vieira’s decision could mean that Omotoyossi’s wage problem is about to end.

The list also included Mohamed Abdul-Shafi, Omar Gaber, Ahmed Al-Shennawi, Ibrahim Salah and Mohamed Ibrahim, who were recently named in Egypt’s squad.

Following an agreement between Zamalek and the Egypt management, the five players should play two friendly games with their club in Kuwait before joining the national team in Dubai.
