Harras Hodoud striker Ahmed Salama scored in the minute to help his team beat Libya’s Ahli Tripoli 2-1 on aggregate and reach the Confederation Cup group stage.
After drawing the first leg 0-0, Ahli stunned the Alexandria crowd by taking the lead in the 38th minute through Ahmed Saad.
Salama brought Hodoud back in the game by scoring in the 58th minute, before winning the tie for Tarek Al-Ashri’s men one minute from time.
Hodoud will now play in CAF Confederation Cup quarter final Group B alongside Kampala City, Bayelsa United and Stade Malian.
