An injury rules the Egyptian midfielder El-Neny out of Egypt’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against Guinea on Tuesday.
The Basel man is a key player in Bob Bradley’s squad as the American coach usually fields him as one of two central midfielders.
Bradley has also dropped defender Wael Gomaa and defensive midfielder Hossam Ashour. Midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou and forward Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’, who had just recovered from injuries, were deemed unfit to take part in the match.
ENPPI’s youngster Ahmad Refaat was also excluded from the roster due to flu.
Egypt will host Guinea in the Red Sea resort of El-Gouna Tuesday in their final Group G match.
