Egypt’s national team flew to Austria on Sunday to face Bosnia in a friendly game on Wednesday as part of their preparations for the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Pharaohs’ squad, which includes 24 players, is devoid of Zamalek’s footballers due to the Cairo club’s African Champions League commitments.
The game will mark the Egypt debut of coach Shawky Gharib, took over at Egypt following the departure of American manager Bob Bradley.
Gharib has replaced Bradley in November following Egypt’s failure to reach this year’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
The former Egypt U-20 boss had previously revealed a list of six foreign-based players who would take part in the Bosnia match, before announcing the remaining 16 home-based players last week.
