Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’ is ready for the CAF Champions League opener.
The Cairo giants will visit Rwandan minnows A.P.R mid March for the first leg of the competition’s round of 32.
“The international attacker is now medically ready for matches,” Ahly doctor Khaled Mahmoud was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
The 30-year-old player returned to training last Wednesday for the first time in nine months after recovering from a longstanding injury, having undergone knee surgery in May.
Gedo was supposed to be back in action after only six months but had to go through a longer rehabilitation program in Germany, with pain in his knee lasting longer than expected.
