Egypt’s Olympic team defeated their counterparts Uganda 2-1 in the 3rd round of the U23 African Cup of Nations qualifiers Saturday to reach the tournament finals in Senegal.
The U-23 team booked their place in the Nations Cup finals in Senegal after beating Uganda 6-1 on aggregate as the first leg finished 4-0 for the Pharaohs in Egypt.
ENPPI striker Mahmoud “Kahraba” Abdelmone’m opened the scoring only 11 minutes from kickoff. Then he doubled the score in the 56th minute.
The young Pharaohs will start fighting for a place in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
