Zamalek’s El-Shennawy out for 3 weeks!!
Zamalek’s first choice goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy has been confirmed to be out of actions for three weeks after sustaining a knee injury during the 2-1 loss to Ittihad of Alexandria in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday, club board member Ismail Youssef announced.
“Medical scans have showed that El-Shennawi suffers from interior ligament injury and he will be out of action for three weeks,” Youssef was quoted on the club’s official website early on Friday.

Early in the second half during the loss to Ittihad, Zamalek and keeper Ahmed El-Shennawi was forced off following a collision with substitute Mohamed Abdel-Meguid, as the understudy Mahmoud Gennesh came on.
Zamalek are third of the league table with 54 points, six adrift of second-placed Ismaily and two clear of fourth-placed Masry, who still have three games in hand.
