Zamalek defeated Generation Foot 3-0 without having to kick a ball!!
EFA confirms the safety of Zamalek’s situation after the cancellation of Senegal’s Generation Foot game; CAF reveals that the situation is currently being examined and will issue updates in due time.
The five-time African champions were initially fixtured to play the Senegalese outfit at the Petrosport stadium on Saturday evening.
However, it was decided on the day, the game will be postponed by 24 hours and moved to the Borg Al Arab stadium in Alexandria.
Generation Foot promptly refused to adhere to the postponement with traveling arrangements and hotels already finalized for the fixture in Cairo – while they expressed their dismay at the decision.

“The security reason presented by Zamalek’s management to support their request for postponing the game is not real,” read a statement on Generation Foot’s website.
“Zamalek asked to postpone the game and reschedule it to be played a day later, meanwhile another Egyptian team based in Cairo, Al Ahly hosted Cano Sport of Equatorial Guinea and won 4-0.
“The case will be left to Caf to make their decision. We will leave Cairo on Sunday at 6pm.”
It’s believed Zamalek were the only side to show up at Borg Al Arab stadium on Sunday, as the Senegalese champions were already on their way back home.
As a result, the Egyptian giants have declared 3-0 winners as the opposing team forfeited the game, handing them a 4-2 aggregate win.
