Ismaily SC will face El Alameen Club in Egypt Cup.

Egyptian outfit Ismaily have terminated the contract of their Serbian coach Miodrag Jesic amicably following Saturday’s 3-0 league loss to rivals Ittihad, the coastal club announced on Monday.

“The board decided to part ways with Jesic and his Serbian assistants after the team’s poor performance in the last league match against Ittihad of Alexandria,” reads a statement on Ismaily’s official website.

After finishing in seventh place in the league last season, the 61-year-old Jesic was named as the Dervishes’ new coach in August. The club management was looking to return to being one of the Egyptian league’s powerhouses by aiming for a top-four position.

Unfortunately, the club had a poor start for the season under the helm of Jesic; winning twice and losing the three remaining matches out of five played so for in the prestigious competition.

Ismaily currently in 12th place on the table with six points, seven behind leaders Arab Contractors.
