FIFA has banned Masry from the next three transfer windows after the Egyptian side was found guilty of violating transfer rules regarding the signing of Ivorian winger Cheick Moukoroo, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Tuesday.

“The EFA received a letter from FIFA saying that Masry will be banned for three transfer windows,” an EFA official told reporters on Tuesday.

The official added that the ban starts from this winter transfer window, stressing that Masry will have the right to appeal the ban.

FIFA had already banned Moukoroo for four months at the start of the season after he unilaterally terminated his contract with the Sudanese side Al-Hilal Oubeid in the summer of 2017.

He joined Masry in July 2017, spending one season with the Port-Said based club before joining Saudi second division side Shoalah on a season-long loan deal.

The 28-year-old returned to Masry this season but is yet to make an appearance with the club as he is serving the ban.
