This is why Zamalek decided to forfeit the Egypt Premier League
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) on Wednesday has held a meeting with clubs’ managers of the Egyptian Premier League to discuss their points of view about resuming the competition.
The meeting was attended by Egypt’s minister of youth and sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi and several head coaches including Zamalek’s boss Patrice Carteron.
The meeting aims at discussing all opinions ahead of determining the date of resuming the league, which has been suspended since March due to coronavirus pandemic.
A few minutes ago Zamalek SC released a statement saying that the club board decided to forfeit the Egyptian League due to health concerns due to the COVID-19.
