Zamalek will be looking for a win against Harras El-Hodoud at Max Stadium on Monday to regain second place on the league table, which they need to secure a Champions League spot.
The White Knights’ hopes for returning to second place on the Egyptian League table were revived on Sunday after champions Ahly gifted them a draw with Zamalek’s opponent for second place, Pyramids FC, on Sunday.

Following Pyramids FC’s draw, they remained second with 64 points, two points ahead of third-placed Zamalek, who will have the chance to regain second place if they defeat Harras El-Hodoud on Monday.
Zamalek’s mission will not be easy given that Harras El-Hodoud have no choice but to win to keep alive their slim hopes for remaining in the first division, and it is expected that they will fight fiercely during Monday’s clash.
Moreover, Zamalek will have to do without a number of players due to injuries or suspensions.
Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi, versatile midfielder Ahmed ‘Zizo’ Sayed, and defensive midfielder Tarek Hamed are suspended, while fullback Hazem Emam will miss the game due to injury.
Moroccan forward Achraf Bencharki, one of Zamalek’s standout performers this season, is also out due for international duty.
