Liverpool are hoping to sign Kalidou Koulbaily

According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Liverpool are hoping to sign Kalidou Koulbaily and create a “sensational pairing” alongside Virgil van Dijk.

The Dutch defender may be out for the rest of the season but once he is fit and ready to go again, the Reds are hoping to have another world-class defender in there right alongside him. Of course, Jurgen Klopp will have to wait until the January transfer window before making an official move, but either way it’s something to get excited about for the red half of Merseyside.

They’ll want to do everything in their power to put the disappointment of losing van Dijk to one side, and even though it’s a bit odd to look ahead to next season when this one has only just gotten started, Klopp knows that he is capable of building something even more special than what he’s done so far at Anfield.
