Italy are among the favourites to win the Euro 2020 finals, and they have started the campaign in style. Roberto Mancini’s side got the better of Turkey 3-0 in their opening Group A at Stadium Olympico in Rome. All three goals came in the second half.
The former world champions will head into the match against Switzerland with confidence. Italy will know that maximum points from the game will see him progress to the next round.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo came on as a substitute at the start of the second against Turkey and is likely to start against Switzerland. Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne should start.
Switzerland
Switzerland started their Euro 2020 campaign with a 1-1 draw with Wales at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Baku. After a goalless first half, Breel Embolo put Switzerland in the lead in the 49th minute, but Kieffer Moore restored parity for Wales on 74 minutes.
Vladimir Petkovic’s side will know that they need a win to stand a chance of finishing in the top two of the group. It is not going to be easy against an Italian team full of confidence and playing in front of their own fans.
Granit Xhaka will start for Switzerland, and so will Breel Embolo.
