Liverpool’s Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah claimed the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Premier League Fans’ Player of the Year award for 2020-21.
The 28-year-old, winger Salah snatched more votes than nominated players Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bryune, Man United’s Bruno Fernandes, Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.
Salah finished the 2020-21 English Premier League season with one goal away from winning the top scorer award for the third time, losing to Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
The Egyptian star helped Liverpool to finish third in the English Premier League table, playing 37 games, scoring 22 goals and providing four assists.
Senegal’s forward Sadio Mane claimed the award last season.
