Salah Shines with Goal and Assist iagainst Aston Villa – VIDEO

Egyptian international winger Mohamed Salah netted a goal and registered an assist for the tenth time this season, helping Liverpool come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa in a rescheduled Premier League match from the 29th matchday on Wednesday.

Salah gave the Reds the lead in the 29th minute, receiving a clever pass from Diogo Jota inside the box and calmly finishing with a precise left-footed shot past goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.

Aston Villa equalized just nine minutes later when Youri Tielemans capitalized on a rebound in the area, firing a low strike into the bottom-right corner.

The hosts took the lead in first-half stoppage time as Ollie Watkins met Lucas Digne’s perfect cross with a clinical header from close range.

Liverpool responded in the 61st minute, with Trent Alexander-Arnold scoring after Salah, orchestrating play from the right flank, set him up for a powerful low drive into the bottom-left corner past Martínez.

With 24 goals and 15 assists this season, Salah remains the Premier League’s top scorer and continues to break records, including extending his own Premier League milestone of scoring and assisting in 41 separate matches.

Salah also set a new club record for most away goals in a single Premier League season (15), eclipsing Luis Suárez’s 14-goal tally from the 2013-14 campaign.

The result keeps Liverpool at the top of the table with 61 points, eight points ahead of second-placed Arsenal, though the Gunners have a game in hand.
