The Egyptian FA are going to pay each players around two million EGP (around 400 000 US DOLLARS) if they defeat Algeria and qualify for the World Cup, according to president Samir Zaher.
A victory by a three-goal margin for the Pharaohs will see them reach the World Cup due to a better goal difference.
Even though a large bonus should act as an extra motive, Zaher stressed the African champions are only preoccupied with the match, and don’t really care about incentives.
“They couldn’t care less about money, they just want to secure a World Cup berth,” Said Zaher.
“The bonus hasn’t been determined yet, but I promise that each player will be paid at least EGP two million (400 000 USD) if they go though.”
Egypt and Algeria will clash on November 14th at Cairo Stadium.
