FIFA have selected Sudan as the venue to host Egypt’s possible playoff match with Algeria on November 18th, the Egyptian FA said on Wednesday.
The Egyptian football governing body said that a notification was received from FIFA with the chosen venue, following a draw between Sudan and Tunisia.
The draw took place on Wednesday morning after Egypt chose Sudan, while Algeria went for Tunisia.
A playoff clash will only take place if Egypt beat their visitors by a two-goal margin on Saturday as both teams will be tied on points and goals.
Should Egypt win by a three-goal cushion, the African champions will go through the 2010 World Cup.
On the other hand, Group C leaders Algeria will qualify if they lost by one goal or managed a better result.
