Portuguese coach Manuel Jose has stepped down as coach of Angola following last month’s Africa Cup of Nations citing personal reasons.
Jose led the hosts of Africa’s showpiece football tournament to the quarter-finals where they lost 1-0 to eventual finalists Ghana.
The 63-year-old signed a one-year contract with Angola in June last year.
That was at the conclusion of a sterling career with Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
Jose guided Al Ahly to four African titles during his six-year spell there.
