The Egyptian national team arrived last Sunday in Kuwait, five days ahead of their anticipated clash against Belgium.
Egypt will face Belgium in a friendly game on Friday 18 November in Kuwait as part of the Belgium team’s preparations for this month’s World Cup.
The Pharaohs started a preparation camp last week in Cairo with the participation of 24 local-based players.
On Friday, Pharaohs coach Rui Vitoria announced the final 24-man list that saw the call-up of eight foreign-based players.
“The Belgium friendly will be very difficult since we will be playing against the world’s number two team,” Vitoria told the press.
“We could play a friendly game against an easier team, but we were searching for a strong challenge,” the Portuguese coach added.
“We know well what we need from the game without giving up our basics,” Vitoria said.
According to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will join the Pharaohs on Monday.
Earlier this week, Vitoria said that Belgium’s friendly will be very difficult, but stressed that his side is ready for this tough challenge.
Belgium were drawn in Group F of the World Cup with Morocco, Croatia and Canada.
