Egypt’s goalkeepers coach Ahmed Soliman hopes to see the premier League resume as soon as possible because it would be the best preparation ahead of South Africa’s crucial clash in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers (ACN) on 25 March in Johannesburg.
The Egyptian Football Association suspended all its activities due to the ongoing demonstrations.
Resuming the league action is important to prepare our players for South Africa match, Soliman told Al Ahram Online.
We wont hold another friendly instead of the USA tie that was set to be played Wednesday, he added.
The Pharaohs are bottom of Group 7 in the ACN qualifiers with a single point as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sierra Leone before suffering a shock 1-0 defeat against Niger.
