Mohamed Zidan named in Egypt’s 23-man squad for crucial Nations Cup qualifier against South Africa
Egypt need to beat South Africa away from home to boost their chances of finishing on top of Group G and reaching next year’s Nations Cup finals in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
South Africa top the group with four points from two games, three ahead of bottom side Egypt who made a poor start to their qualifying campaign.
Egypt, who won the past three Nations Cups, are the record holders of Africa’s premier tournament with seven titles under their belt.
