Goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami was at fault as Al Ahly were held to a disappointing 2-2 draw at Petrojet in the second week of the Egyptian Premier League.
The defending champions took the lead through former Petrojet man Walid Soliman, who also scored against the club he starred with during his ENPPI spell last term.
Mohamed Koffi grabbed a controversial equalizer for Petrojet on 32 minutes as Hossam Ghaly replied to Manuel Joses mockery of his heading with a fine finish seconds later.
In the second half, Petrojet defender Mahmoud Samna pounced on a poor piece of goalkeeping by Ekrami to snatch a point for the home side.
It is Petrojets third point from 13 games against Al Ahly, with the latter winning 10 games against the Suez club since the latters promotion in 2006/2007.
Ironically, the previous two draws in 2007 and 2009 ended 2-2 as well.
