Morocco beat Algeria 1-0 in the CAF U23 Championship 2011 with maximum six points from two games and sit on top of Group A.
Morocco claimed a 1-0 win over North African rivals Algeria on Tuesday to become on the brink of reaching the U-23 African Championship semis.
Morocco striker Adnane Teghadouini scored for the hosts in the 59 minute to give them a deserved victory.
The Atlas Lions lead the group with six points as they seek to reach the semis and edge closer to a place at next year’s Olympic Games in London.
The tournament winners, runners-up and third-placed team will directly qualify for the London Games. The fourth-placed side will have to overcome an Asian representative in a playoff to go through.
