Zamalek have announced that striker Amr Zaki will return to training this week after manager Hassan Shehata accepted his apology following his recent unsettlement.
Zaki has been out of action for several weeks due to a dispute with the club’s former board over unpaid wages, but has suddenly had a change of heart despite the problem being unsolved.
“He apologized with heart and therefore his apology was accepted and he should be back in training on Wednesday.” -assistant coach Ismail Youssef said
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old forward revealed that his problem with Galal Ibrahim’s board had nothing to do with money.
“My problem with the former board was not financial, it was merely administrative,” the ex-Wigan striker said.
“If I was going after money, I would have accepted an offer from a foreign club and left Zamalek.
“That’s why I didn’t talk about money in my meeting with Shehata. I am glad it was a fruitful conversation and I am happy to be back for Zamalek.”
