Emad Meteb returned from injury to score in Ahly’s friendly win over Harras Hodoud and is now fit to feature against Ethiopian Coffee in next week’s African Champions League round of 32 return leg.
Meteb, who has been sidelined for several months with injury, has not played since a 1-1 league draw with MCDR back in December.
But the Egypt striker was introduced at half time in the warm-up meeting with Hodoud, scoring after nine minutes in the match staged behind closed doors.
