Ahly’s Brazilian striker Fabio Junior is confirmed to be out of CAF Champions League game against Ghanaian side Berekum Chelsea in the Group stage of the CAF Champions League on 19 August because of a muscle problem.
“Junior sustained a muscle injury during his team training sessions on Saturday,” reads a statement on the Ahly official website.
“Ahly’s doctor confirmed that the Brazilian attacker won’t fly with the team to Ghana when they take on Berekum Chelsea there.”
Ahly are scheduled to face Ghanaian giants Berekum Chelsea in the Group Stage of the CAF Champions League on 19 August.
