The Pharaohs training camp in UAE

The Egyptian National Football team are flying Monday to UAE for a closed camp amid their preparations for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
The Pharaohs will play two friendly games against Congo and Tunisia on 12 and 16 October after speculations about the camp due to some complications with the sponsors.

“American manager Bob Bradly – former United States coach – is really relieved the training camp was salvaged,” goalkeepers coach Zaki Abdel-Fattah told Reuters Sunday.

Egypt, who won three successive African Cup of Nations trophies (2006, 2008 and 2010) have not qualified for the World Cup since 1990.

Egypt is not slated to play any competitive games until next year, when they will host Zimbabwe in their third Group G game in March. Egypt is currently topping the group with six points in two games after beating Mozambique and Guinea.
