Zamalek’s newly appointed coach, Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’, has said that signings of young coaches to lead top teams is a regular practice in the European leagues.
The Cairo giants Zamalek officially announced the appointment of the former Egypt attacker early this week, succeeding Helmi Toulan, who was sacked after the team’s latest draw against Haras El-Hodoud.
The 30-year-old former star led his first training session with the Whites on Wednesday.
“My appointment with Zamalek will help young coaches to take a greater role in the Egyptian League,” Mido was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
