Zamalek officially signed Burkina Faso and Ahly Tripoli striker Abdoulaye Cisse to a three-year contract on Sunday.
Having failed to score in their last two Champions League games at home, Zamalek were reportedly looking to secure the services of Cisse to bolster their misfiring frontline.
Cisse, who enjoyed an impressive one-year spell at Zamalek before leaving in 2013 following disputes over unpaid wages, was also believed to be keen on a return due to the current political turmoil in Libya.
According to Egyptian media, the player, who previously filed a complaint against Zamalek, has settled all financial issues with Zamalek’s management.
Cisse, 30, managed to score nine goals in 22 appearances for Zamalek in his previous tenure.
