Egyptian football competitions are set to resume behind close doors next month after the Cairo Air Defense Stadium disaster halted all football activities over two weeks ago, Egypt’s cabinet announced on Wednesday.
After discussions between the cabinet and the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), the former decided to form a committee consisting of representatives of the interior and sports ministries to instigate the necessary procedures to resume competitions after 40 days of mourning.
