Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’ returned to training on Wednesday for the first time in nine months after recovering from a knee injury.
The Egypt ace – who turned 30 last October – was sidelined with a longstanding injury, having undergone knee surgery in May.
Gedo was supposed to get back in action after only six months but had to go through a longer rehabilitation program in Germany, with pain in his knee lasting longer than expected.
The return of Gedo comes ahead of the league resumption next month and amid the absence of Ahly striker Amr Gamal, who’s still nursing a major knee injury.
