According to reports from Italian website TMW who have cited Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah who is on loan at Fiorentina is set to renew his stay at the Serie A club for one more season. Salah who moved to the Florence based side in deal that saw Chelsea sign Juan Cuadrado for £23.3m, has made a great impact for Vincenzo Montella’s side.
The Egyptian winger has scored 3 goals and grabbed a solitary assist in 6 league appearances since his move in the winter transfer window. The report from TMW states that Fiorentina have planned a meeting with Chelsea to keep the player on loan for one more season. The Italian side are just on the verge of formalizing the deal that seems obvious at this point of time.
It is believed that Fiorentina are willing to pay Chelsea €1m and will also pay Salah’s wages which account at €2m for the 2015-16 season. Fiorentina are currently in the running for a Champions League spot and are also in the quarter finals of the Europa League.
