Petrojet v Al Ahly | Egyptian League Match Preview
Al Ahly are sitting on top of the Premier League table with 6 points from two games.
Ahly will be looking to continue their winning start to their Egyptian Premier League game campaign when they visit Petrojet at Suez Stadium on Sunday.
Following a 1-0 opening victory over Talae El-Geish and another 2-0 win against Ghazl El-Mahalla, Ahly will be hoping to make it three wins out of three in their bid to reclaim a league title they lost to arch-rivals Zamalek last season.
Evouna WILL MISS THE GAME!!!
The Cairo giants’ Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro has also dismissed Evouna from his team squad for Sunday’s game due to technical reasons, according to Ahly’s football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz.
“Evouna’s dismissal is for technical reasons,” Abdel-Hafiz told reporters after Saturday’s training.
The Red Devils’ new recruit had a flying start, scoring five goals in three games before starting the current Egyptian Premier League campaign.
“He doesn’t suffer from any injury that could keep him out of the squad,” Ahly’s football director added.
Meanwhile, striker Amr Gamal and new signing Ahmed El-Sheikh have made the squad after being left out of the 2-0 win over Mahalla as they make up for the Gabon striker’s absence.

Petrojet
Petrojet who used to give both Ahly and Zamalek some hard time during the past years are not expected to be the weakest of opponents, especially at their home venue.
The petroleum side are currently coached by ex-Egypt skipper Ahmed Hassan, who will be particularly keen to prove his credentials in front of a decorated Ahly side as he embarks on his maiden managerial career.
Hassan’s managerial debut also came against Ahly, where he played from 2008 to 2011, when his Petrojet side slumped to a 3-1 home loss in the Egypt Cup semi-final last month.
Petrojet’s 3-0 victory at Smouha couldn’t have come at a better time just before the Ahly clash, as Hassan will be looking to take heart from the big win.
