ENPPI trashed Africa Sports 6-1 on aggregate | VIDEO
Egypt’s ENPPI became the fourth Egyptian side to advance in African competitions after reaching the Confederation Cup round of 16 with a comprehensive 6-1 aggregate victory over Ivorian side Africa Sports.
ENPPI went through after claiming a 4-1 home win on Sunday to ease into the next round following their 2-0 away victory in the first leg.
Two first-half goals from Ibrahim Yehia and Oumed Oukri and two from Lama Kone and Wael Farrag late in the game gave ENPPI another convincing win.
They joined fellow Egyptian side Maqassa in the round of 16 after the latter overcame DR Congo’s CS Don Bosco 3-2 on aggregate.
Cairo giants Ahly and Zamalek reached the Champions League last 16 with easy wins over Angola’s Recreativo de Libolo and Cameroon’s Union Douala respectively on Saturday.
