Berezutski saves Russia with a late goal against England

A last-gasp Vasili Berezutski goal denied England three points after Eric Dier looked to have given Roy Hodgson’s side three points. 

Dier fired in a wonderful free-kick from just outside the 18-yard box to give England the lead on 73 minutes, but there was heartbreak late on.

Roy Hodgson’s side were dominant throughout at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille, but it took until late in the game before Russia’s resolve was finally broken.

But just as England looked to have won their opening Group B match, Berezutski and Russia struck late on.
