Anderlecht beat the Dutch club Heerenveen in a friendly match tonight. The final score was 3-1, but Anderlecht did not play a convincing match, even against a ten manned Heerenveen.
Anderlecht’s central defence proved unstable and was already beaten after ten minutes. Zeneli was sent deep and scored. Anderlecht only came back into the match after a red card for Bijker. The player reacted too aggressively after a serious foul of Tielemans and was sent off. Earlier, Tielemans had already missed a penalty (on the post). Right before half time, Defour equalised.
In the second half, Anderlecht didn’t impress. Even against ten men, there wasn’t a lot of creativity. With 15 minutes left on the clock, Trézéguet scored the 2-1 with a nice shot. In the last seconds, Tielemans scored the 3-1 on penalty.
