Zamalek held by Aswan & bleeds more points | VIDEO
Zamalek, still struggling to hit top gear this season, were held to their fourth Egyptian Premier League draw after failing to break down lowly Aswan in a 0-0 stalemate on Thursday.
The White Knights paid the price of too many coaching changes, with Mohamed Helmi the third manager to take charge of the team after only 10 games.
Zamalek gave Helmi an opening win by crushing Dakhleya 3-0 last week but their stumble against Aswan cast serious doubts over their ability to wrestle the title back from arch rivals Ahly, who won the Egyptian league for the ninth time in 10 seasons last term.
They lie sixth in the table with 22 points, 13 behind leaders Ahly who played three matches more.
Aswan are third from bottom with seven points from 14 matches.
