El-Hadary’s future at Wadi Degla remains in doubt
Wadi Degla chairman Maged Samy has offered Egypt evergreen keeper Essam El-Hadary for transfer on his Facebookpage after dismissing the 44-year-old from his squad for the game against Ahly on Thursday.
El-Hadary was dismissed from the Wadi Degla squad for the game against Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday for misconduct after he quarreled with the team’s second choice goalie Khaled Walid during training.
“Available to Transfer to MLS or Scandinavian leagues, veteran goalkeeper, 44 years, able to play 2 more years at top level,” the Wadi Degla chairman wrote on his official Facebook page late Wednesday, in reference to El-Hadary.

“I don’t intend to harm El-Hadary as he is my friend until the end. I am trying to help him find a regular post, to continue helping Egypt’s national team regardless of what happened!” Samy wrote on his page.
El-Hadary was expected to face a stern test against Egyptian League leaders Ahly, as he would have been tasked with keeping a seventh straight clean sheet for Wadi Degla. The teams will face off at Cairo’s Petrosport Stadium.
